AMP
Overview
Architectural Design // Digital Fabrication // Academic Work: Washington University in St. Louis
AMP, is the product of a group design build that took on the challenge of designing a dynamic lighting installation in the historic Lammert Building in downtown St. Louis. The project was designed, fabricated, and installed in 13 weeks using Grasshopper, Rhino 3d, laser cutting, and CNC milling. Comprised of over 500 custom pieces of TPO and Mylar, the installation reflects light from an overhead monitor down into the office spaces below. The entire installation uses a custom snap fit mechanical connection that allows for ease of maintenance.
