Matt is based in Philadelphia and is currently a Senior Architect at Cactus, a multi-disciplinary strategy, technology, and architecture firm. He has extensive experience with digital and parametric modeling and digital fabrication. His individual and group student work has been recognized in regional and national competitions for technical and design excellence. Most recently his work with Cactus was awarded a Fast Company Most Innovative Design Award.
Matt was awarded alternate status for a 2018 Fulbright Scholarship to explore modern timber construction. He was a Taubman Scholar at the University of Michigan, where he received his M. Arch. degree, and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B. Sci. in Architecture with a minor in Art History and Archeology. Professionally, he has held positions with KieranTimberlake, Anmahian Winton Architects, Gensler, and EwingCole. Additionally, he has been an invited studio critic at Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Michigan, Drexel University, Lawrence Technical University, and Jefferson University. He is a licensed architect in Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
